And while the Fairphone 4 does not have a regular 3.5mm headphone jack, we didn’t forget about all of you holding on to your trusty wired headphones. So if you don’t feel like getting that pair of wireless headphones just yet, this little adapter has got you covered. Just connect it to the USB-C port, plug in your headphones and press play.
This adapter includes a DAC chip (Digital to Analog Converter chip) to allow for listening to audio with earphones with a mini jack connector.
The adapter is compatible with both TRS and TRRS jacks. When it comes to TRRS, it is compatible with both CTIA and OMTP. In simpler terms, it can be used for audio input as well as output, enabling the use of headsets with microphones or a standalone microphone.
Just to be sure: The Fairphone 3(+) has a regular 3.5mm headphone jack, so no need for this adapter there.
