Great phone, good specs, sturdy build and lightweight. Got the "Googled" version, out of habit. Might have chosen the de-googled one if I had more knowledge about the alternatives.

Tras revisar varios reviews en donde criticaban la posición de los botones y algunos temas de software del celular; me agrada informar que el celular no ha tenido ninguna falla y se comporta hasta mejor que mi celular samsung anterior (que en papel tenía mejores specs). La única crítica, es que la aplicación Moments, debería estar mejor integrada (mayor control del sistema operativo y mayores ajustes como el orden de las apps a mostrar).

Wonderful device with a responsive rock solid OS (Murena OS)

Fast, large and really nice smartphone with good camera and very long lasting battery! No flagship highend but anyhow technically up to date device. What I miss is a higher protection class against dust and water and wireless charging. Not so nice: The volume buttons are very uncommonly in the middle of the left side of the device. This is making problems with most smart phone holders clamp at this position. So now they are activating the volume button and if you then press the on-button the device will go into root-menue which is confusing during driving! Also the position is exactly the point where you need to hold the phone with the forefinger when using the thumb on the on/off-button. This is creating unwilling screenshots which is also anoying. There is a reason why nearly all other phones have their volume buttons at the upper left edge of the phone. Feature: Additional customizable switching button. Very helpfull to use the Fairphone as flashlight!

As a private person a phone with the option to have an OS that does not pry into everything of mine, but still operate all of the usual apps is amazing.

Got it to replace my dying Oppo A64 (was literally falling apart) with the only expectation of a good phone but also good reparability, so far it has delivered beyond these expectations, all my use cases work incredibly well (light gaming, messages, watching videos and reading, ofc the occasional trip with GPS and the like). The phone perfomns better than expected across the board, is very durable and feels very resistant. I recomend this phone to the grand majority of users, the price is worth it, can feel a bit steep but you will see it's true value as years pass, that's how I feel.

Perceived quality is really good. Everything runs smooth. The device is open for custom ROMs like /e/os, iode or LineageOS. Fairphone also tries to release as much source code as possible. Size is very similar to the FP3 which is perfectly fine. I personally would prefer much smaller phones, however no brand provides that.

I really like having switched to a Fairphone, it's very practical and functional. Since it is a fair phone I don't expect it to be luxury quality but I was a bit disappointed by the poor sound recording quality of this phone. Although the other features blew me away completely, I was surprised to see improvements in camera, performance and usability compared to my old phone! There is room for improvement of course and I'm here for it! Thank you.

Brilliant phone, standard android OS, I like it ..

Placement of lock and volumen buttons makes for a few too many screenshots. Also I hoped for better battery life. Other than I quite like it, including the switch on the side. Love that one.

I thought this phone was going to be very good on repairability, but just average on the rest of things. And I was very gladly surprised to see that it exceeded my already high expectations. Just pure android is very pleasant when used to other android phones

I wanted an upgrade to my Pixel 6a, which was dying after just two short years. The battery was kaput and so was the USB port. Phones are not mayflies. I wanted a phone that would last a decent time. I am sick of our disposable culture. So I bought a Fairphone (gen 6). I've only had it a few weeks, but so far, so good. The OS is clean and not full of crapware. The migration was no more difficult than any Android phone migration. The phone feels snappy and everything works well. I particularly like the fingerprint sensor: having it on the side results in a much more responsive sensor than the pixel, which has been poor for me since they integrated the touch sensor into the screen. Overall the phone is very slightly on the chunky side, but it feels great in my hand and I'm more than happy with the quality. The difference is negligible compared to less repairable phones. Supposedly the camera quality is not all that, but I'm not much of a shutterbug, and as far as I'm concerned, the camera is good and I'm happy with it. Overall, if you're on board with the Fairphone philosophy but are skeptical of the implementation, then don't be. Take the plunge, the phone is good and it delivers on its promises.

The phone I purchased has a nice green casing which is better than the black that is so common. That it runs Android is another plus because there is support available within the household from another Android user. However, consider how it would have been without that support? As an elderly 'Wrinkly' the tiny on screen text is useless. It needs to be big enough to read. Having been guided to Settings the size was increased successfully. Looking at file manager all the boxes (what happened to icons?) now have text that is too big for the boxes and is thus unreadable. Never mind, there is the Fair Phone app which will probably have a new user guide. Once it was working properly we started at the beginning; 'Turn your phone on and off.' That took us onto a long section about how advertisers use one's data and privacy settings. Fotunately the next section "How to download Apps" was actually all about that topic. Wallpaper and sound personalisation required a login to an account of some sort. Making calls and sending messages was all about that topic. Similarly Language settings was about that topic. The scanning a QR code was also on topic as was Screenshot, etc. Find and change settings looked promising too. However, the instruction workrd but only led tp Internet, Bluetooth, Torch and Do not.. The second swipe instruction alo worked but overall gave a very limited rang of settings. It was discovered that a side swipe led to a couple more setting screens. Using the Settings icon on the home screen and then the 'tap anything' search method seemed to realise a whole lot more adjustable parameters. We even got rid of the night screen. To do other stuff like adding apps we seemed to be entirely tied in to Google. Indeed the whole of this initial setup period has been one of various organisations insisting one creates an account so they can monitor what one does with this phone. We should perhaps have gone for the Google Free option. As yet we have still not found out the function of the big yellow button on the top right side of the case. We love the philosphy behind the phone which is why we bought one, but it would be nice if it was more focussed on the needs of the non-Android expert so that a hughe amount of time is not required to find out how everything works.

I was excited for the purchase, and after 8 days the usb-c port stopped working. Buying, waiting, disassembling and reassembling a fairphone are expensive efforts that one makes willingly, thinking they're worth. I am happy with materials and certifications, as well as the warranty policy, but it is unacceptable that after 8 days I have to purchase, wait and assemble malfunction piece that is fundamental to the phone. Moreover, one buys the phone because it's supposed to be easy to fix, and the battery removal is needlessly complicated. I have many friends happy with older models, this comes as quite a let down for me. Bitter experience

After 2 years of use, I changed my Google Pixel 6a because of connectivity issues. I realised every cell phone I had used was lasting less years than the previous one, so I decided to do something to change this trend. I saw the new Fairphone was smaller than the previous one (a must to me) and invested more than ever on a new cell phone aiming to a 5 year use. We’ll see. The android use is almost the same to the one on the Pixel, I like the camera and function in general, but I’m not using the Fairphone moments switch as expected, plus I don’t like the design of the external buttons, as the main button on the right to switch the phone off is opposite to the volume buttons, so many times I press both at the same time taking a screenshot…, and it is not only because of their position, but also because the fingerprint button is aligned with the side of the phone, without relief, so it is not that easy to press it. On the other hand, I saw that it is possible to activate the screen touching it twice. This reminded me of a feature my old LG G6 had, “toc toc”, so it was possible both to turn the screen on and off this way. It is a shame that the Fairphone doesn’t allow to turn the screen off also with the double touch, because this could be a way to avoid taking not desired screenshots.

While I'm still in the process of getting it fully operational,the first weeks have been great with the new phone. Shipping, activating the extended warranty etc. were quick and easy. Camera, optional bumper case and card holder are great, battery time tops, favourite apps (banking/wallet, gaming, browsing...) runnung smoothly.

I was an apple user and it is really easy to go from apple to fairphone

Great phone, looks good and is a similar size to the FP3 but a little lighter. I like having an ethical choice of phone that works as well as top commercial brands.

Coming form an old Samsung, the Fairphone 6 is pretty good. I like it's design the button layout. Fingerprint sensor is pretty good, however the default case get's in the way of it sometimes. The 'switch' is pretty cool, however I wish it would get a bit more customization options. Camera is decent. I dislike that they don't have a dedicated security chip like most other modern phones and I wish that they would support GrapheneOS for their next generation.

Per il momento mi trovo veramente bene in tutto. Questo telefono è la prova che si può costruire uno strumento del genere anche in maniera etica e sostenibile. Unico difetto: con la cover il tasto di accensione/sblocco diventa un po' difficile da utilizzare nonostante un lettore di impronte molto preciso.

Ottimo prodotto, bel display, custodia e vetro privacy ottimi.

The fairphone 6 is truly a gorgeous phone. I switched from an iPhone and I couldn't be happier!! So glad to have ditched Apple for something more ethical and sustainable! The camera quality is incredible, the set up was so easy, the phone itself is gorgeous -- I'm never switching back! Even my dad (a loyal Apple customer) has been convinced to switch after seeing me using mine!

Had used an A70 for 7 years. V happy with it but wanted a more ethically sourced product. Operats quickly and easily and I'm not bombarded with adverts. Can recommend

In general I am very satisfied. The screen quality and the touch sensitivity are extremely good. The materials are very nice to touch. The biggest problem is the ergonomics of the buttons - the volume buttons are EXACTLY opposite the power button, which makes it impossible to press it without pressing also the volume buttons. Did anyone even test it!?! Another big flaw is the sound quality. Very bad for listening to music.

Really good, the panic button help me staying away

I've had the FP6 for a couple of weeks now and I'm surprised at how easy it's been moving away from a more premium phone with Samsung. I'm a big believer of Fairphone's mission so am really pleased with how it's gone so far! The idea of being able to repair any issues in future should the need arise is also a welcome one, as I'd like to do my part and not contribute to consumerism! Highly recommend for those who don't need the highest budget premium phones!

After many years, I bought my first Fairphone and I am very happy with my FP6. I've had it for about two weeks. It's exactly what I was looking for: simple, beautiful, and it works well. I am completely satisfied with the camera and the image quality. I hope to keep it for many, many years.

I don't understand why they set up buttons like this. It's easy to make screenshots accidentally

Honestly, I think I was a bit overhyped. Reasons I bought this phone: ethical resources: check modular: check additional guarantee: check additional privacy and security: don't really know, probably check dumbphone switch: dissapointment design: NIGHTMARE Details: The worst design experience I've ever had by far. - The volume buttons being opposite to lockscreen really suck hard. - The dumbphone "moments" feature is nothing that you can't set up on any other smartphone. Also, the customisation is very very limited. I would like to have different wallpaper, different sounds and notifications, different basically everything, including being disconnected from the internet. THAT would be a dumbphone to pay 600€ for. - The mobile case makes it difficult to have the fingers scanned Result: I would only buy it in the future if the issues mentioned above were fixed.

I'm really enjoying my first Fairphone. The overall quality is very good, the phone materials are pleasant to the touch and well assembled while still keeping an high repairability level. I'm coming from an iPhone 11 and I felt the updated technology (e.g. higher refresh rate, camera with lots of megapixels) and I really missed the stock Android experience! The only issue I've found in this model is the vibration quality (that's why my rating is 4 stars), it's very weak so it's easy to miss calls or notifications by keeping the phone both on the desk and in the jacket's pocket. There is no competition with my old iPhone in this aspect. In my case the low vibration is a trade-off that I happily accept compared to the possibility of having a repairable phone with a long warranty and software support.

A real great work by Fairphone this time. Everythink has worked well until now

This is my 5th fairphone and it seems to me that the design and user experience are going backwards rather than forward. The camera quality is appallingly bad. The choice to put buttons on both sides of the screen means I take at least 10 screenshots by mistake a day. The function to slide back by swiping left poses huge limitations to recording voice notes and carousel scrolling. Love the philosophy behind Fairphone and I will continue to support it but the new model is quite disappointing.

I decided to buy a Fairphone because of the mission that stands behind the brand and I'm pretty satisfied with it - however, there are some things that I liked more in my previous phones. So far the performance has been alright, nothing out of the ordinary but haven't experiences any lags. The camera quality looks pretty average (though I haven't tried dabbling in the settings yet) and I wish the volume buttons were put a little higher so I didn't keep making accidental screenshots. Also, I really wish there were built-in notebook and photo gallery apps - sadly the Android version doesn't have those. I'm nit-picking a little, but all in all it seems to be a pretty solid phone. And of course, the best thing about it is that you know it's ethically created. Would recommend to others.

I've had a Fairphone 3 before and now I took a new Fairphone 6. It is really a good product.

I'm using it since the last three weeks and it's quite slow. I'm experiencing many troubles with the internet connection. Honestly I was expecting something more

I bought this phone mainly for ethical reasons and the nice green color, but my general expectations were quite low. But reality is much more. The camera is actually very good, also the screen, plastic feels really nice and sturdy. I totally-absolutely love the minimalist design. It is much more premium than I expected. Software could have less bugs, but I really enjoy the pure Android, Google stock apps, no bloatware. It feels so clean. If I could have a second choice, I would buy this phone again.

For now everything is going good. The phone arrived on time

The phone detected the mobile data but didn't use it, so I couldn't use it without wifi (useless). Also within the week I tried it, it usually had problems with the tactile response and I had to reboot it a couple of times because it stopped working completely. Support service was slow and useless, still waiting for an answer three weeks later. I had to ask for a return.

A major upgrade from my FP3, hardware wise. The size is the same, but the display has a smaller frame and thus is bigger. One thing that is annoying is the placement of the volume buttons, as they are on the same height as the power button and often when I shut the phone off I make a screenshot instead. Would the volume buttons be 1 cm higher, this would not be a problem. One other thing is that there is no protection glass to put on for the camera on the official shop, would be nice to have.

After 3 weeks of usage I'm very happy with my FP6. Haven't experienced any of the software issues which could be found on the forums - perhaps they've been patched already. System updates have been timely so far. The placement of the volume buttons opposite to the power button is indeed somewhat unfortunate but one gets used to that quickly enough. The build quality of the phone feels great, the case fits well and I find the finger loop super handy for wielding the phone with my small hands. No complaints about connectivity and call quality either. With my admittedly sparing usage (5G always on but WiFi, BT and location toggled on demand... I wish I could assign this action to the yellow switch on the side!) I'm getting on average 3 days on a single charge and I'm happy with that.

I've been using my Fairphone 6 for a few weeks now, and I can say that has nothing to worry when comparing it to my latest LG V40 or Sony Xperia 10 III. Most of all I like the fact that it has only 1 app from Fairphone, the other are all Android's standard. A very good battery and overall durabilty

The reason I bought a fairphone is to fight for programmed obsolescence. My previous Motorola works just fine but haven't received a security update for the last 2 years. The phone itself is ok and I'm happy with it. I just really don't like the speakers sound quality.

Dopo 2 settimane di uso mi trovo bene. Batteria che tiene bene per 1 giorno con uso intensivo. Quasi 2 giorni con uso minimo. Ottima fotocamera. L'ho preso soprattutto per la filosofia dell'azienda. Spero duri nel tempo.

De telefoon werkt wel, maar heeft helaas veel bugs. Het melden van problemen bij de support is niet snel en kost veel tijd, omdat er geen makkelijke manier is om bugs door te geven. Als je de missie van Fairphone wilt steunen, is het een prima keuze. Maar als je op zoek bent naar een betere gebruikerservaring met minder bugs, kun je beter voor een ander merk gaan en maybe bij voorkeur tweedehands.

It's a good phone overall. Quality hardware, nice screen with a well balanced resolution/aspect ratio, good cameras and pretty easy to repair. Expect a few flaws that you will have to live with (mainly software related), they will hopefully be fixed at some point. In my case, calls/video calls on loudspeaker are too loud for my taste, even at the minimum volume, and wifi stops working every few days (a reboot brings it back).

It seems to be a good phone. Works well, looks good, easy to set up and does everything I need it to do. There are a few minor annoyances that will take a bit of getting used to but nothing overly frustrating. Having the volume buttons opposite the lock button is a pain, I'm constantly taking screen shots or opening up the power screen when I try to lock the screen so it would be handy if those buttons were either higher up, or in the same place as every other phone I've owned.

I really, really wanted to like and stick to the Fairphone. I love the idea of sustainability and made in Europe. But unfortunately the most frustrating is the design - the power button and the volume button locations. I was making unnecessary screenshots evey other time I was trying to lock the phone. Also the phone was unlocking it self in the pockets, I made so many butt dials, etc. Also the Android compared to the Samsung OS is underwhelming.

After FP1 (1st edition), FP2 and FP3, I decided to go for FP6.... No regrets.... 😁🙏👍

It's easy to use and even better and more beautiful than my previous Fairphone.

Very happy with this so far, took a while to get used to it after switching form an iPhone, but transferring stuff across seem easy enough and i like the more minimalist approach.

nice (at least until now :) :) telephone migration was enough smooth it is difficult to find some icons / commands, e.g. if you want to see battery status you shall open setting, find the entry and then accessing it

I am sooooo happy I got to buy the Fairphone finally! It works well (it is not the top performer mobile phone in the World, that's not the point!) and it makes me extremely happy because of what it means.

Mola molt funciona perfectament espere que hem dure molts anys.

On the whole a great phone, it take great photos, I have used the macro setting which is excellent, not as good at night shots as my partners iPhone but still very good. Very occasionally it will freeze for a few moments (5 to 10 seconds) I'm not sure why. I have the privacy glass on the device but the auto screen brightness doesn't take account of that so the screen can appear darker than it otherwise would. The battery lasts ages, the video playback is very good no lag, the toggle switch on the side can be set to do different things but just focus mode, I have at it to turn my torch on and off and as engineer this is really helpful.

Getting used to it, working well, buttons on opposite sides still tricky. Don't really use the slider. Miss having audio jack, but knew what I was getting, and this as much to do with wireless earbuds as the phone. Happy with it.

The volume-down button is placed exactly where I place my thumb while turning off the phone. Meaning that I have now 100 screenshots of the start screen. Can you remove the screenshot function from this button combination (close+volume down)? If so, how??

Very good phone. Sturdy and functional and very good looking.

The phone is not performing well. There's a fps drop when scrolling down instagram for example. I also had an issue when travelling to the US and the phone gave me a message about a new configuration needing to be installed and the phone had to restart, it then restarted and did the same thing again. It stopped doing that if I put airplane mode on. But you can imagine how annoying it is to be travelling in a foreign country and the phone you were planning to use was useless.

Due to some unexplained issue with the shipping company, this phone was delivered 1.5 weeks later than promised when it was ordered (up to 5 business days). I suspect that this will mean I lose 1.5 weeks of guarantee period (which starts on the date of purchase). The phone seems to work fine though. The positioning of the power button opposite the volume control is inconvenient since using one hand to power the phone off tends to change the volume setting.

After a few years I've bought a new Fairphone. So much better screen and camera than in Fairphone 3! I only miss a screwdriver.

Had my new phone for about a month now and very happy with it. After reading reviews comparing this phone with the current Google pixel I was a little concerned I was downgrading on the camera quality but have been pleasantly surprised,images always come out sharp and copes well in low light conditions. Had to contact customer service initially as didn't receive any notification of delivery to the store I'd arranged, they were very helpful and efficient at resolving my issue.

Nice phone. Screen is great and it performs well. Battery life is phenomenal. Cameras are decent but software lets them down a little. Security updates could do with being more prompt. There are some bugs when unlocking the phone -- sometimes it's unresponsive for ~10 seconds; other times the frame rate drops to ~10 fps. I do hope these issues can be addressed.

Brilliant, sturdy phone. Great to know it's a good cause. Had some trouble sliding the back off the phone when I went to put the finger loop on. But overall, clear and ample instruction videos and I was quickly engrossed in setting everything up. You have to watch the data transfer as it needed constant reapproval but aside from this everything I need is on my phone except my notes, which I hadn't backed up. So that's pretty good. Still finding it a bit annoying that the swipe right function takes you back a page as it's hard to scroll photo carousels (e.g. on Insta) without reloading the page accidentally. Apart from this, everything else is really smooth and so is the finger print unlock which was the worst on my old phone. So easy to use!

Really really enjoying the phone. Everything is perfect except I'm left handed which makes the placement of the fingerprint slightly awkward. Really loving everything else.

The phone is generally good but has some software issues so far. Quite a few glitches and issues with the OS, although very useable still. I find that the yellow slider button is rather weak and flimsy, and is liable to easily become dirty. Cameras are very good, screen is good. I'm just hoping for good software updates to enhance further.

I just upgraded from the Fairphone 3 and the difference is huge. The camera quality is fantastic, the phone works smoothly and the battery lasts for days without recharging

When I chose the product, the software update period was the main attribute for me. Nice and compact phone. Simple and fast OS.

Fairphone 6 — Ethically Made, Repairable, and Surprisingly Capable (Just Wish the Speakers Were Stronger) I had the Fairphone 6 for about 2 weeks now. I am really pleased with it. It is not a flagship, but the ethically sourced and produced phone, combined with the easy repairability outweights the drawbacks in specs (which are not bad either - far from it). However, it falls short in a couple of specific places, that matter dearly to me. First is the audio quality of the speakers, which is in my opinion rather bad. I am an audiophile, but sometimes I will watch a video or listen to something (not necesarily music!) straight from the phone. At max volume, it distorts too much, and at medium is ends up sounding a bit too shallow, with almost no low ends. Combined with the lack of a headphone jack OR an integrated DAC in the usb port (which is sadly only usb2), this results in a phone delivering a rather dissapointing experience when it comes to the audio, for me. An otherwise great device, which I'm looking forward to keeping for many years (thanks replaceable battery!)

Great phone, high quality and good possibility of customization

Much quicker than my old phone and has lots of useful features. Plus I know I'll still able to use it in 5 years time and probably beyond and fix it if part of it breaks. Top notch idea and a great phone.

I love the concept of a modular phone and have had a previous model for 5 years where I changed components as time went on. The feel of the phone is great, intuitive to use and I like the modular options for accessories, too.
