It's a great phone, with MicroG almost all apps work out of the box. Great display, good camera, really great battery. Overall it's a really good phone, the fact that is repairable and sustainable is a great addition. 100% recommended

A few weeks in use and until now everything works perfectly. Not missing my Samusung flagship phone at all!! Degoogling is going great thanks to Mutera. I also donated to the good cause.

I like it but some functions are a little bit complicated. For this cases you find input on youtube and co. but that's minus 1 star for the missing comfort. However, what I really appreciate (and that's the other side of thecoin) is the addblocker and other functions of the murena e/OS Missing Apps in the app store was a fear, but, fortunately I found all apps I was searching for. But one app has a bug and is crashing the whole time but it's no important app for me.

Bought the FP6 last month, I was apprehensive to test a new OS, but e/OS/ is easy to set up and tweak to fit your needs. Haven't encountered any incompatible app yet. The Phone itself is of a high quality, and works perfectly as advertised. Looking forward to keeping it and maintaining it!

Been daily driving it with e os for some weeks now and it simply just works. No need for google or apple. For my fellow swedes, bankid works flawlessly.

Despite these quirks, I believe this phone represents an important step toward breaking free from dominant tech ecosystems (like de-Googling). I went in with realistic expectations, and I’m confident it will improve over time. For now, it’s a 3-star experience with 5-star potential.

Overall a good phone. A few system bugs here and there, getting slowly fixed. Having a hard time degoogling after using google for so many years. This phone is helping quite a bit, but it does seem like a neverending task.

I'm really happy overall, but there are a few kinks that /e/OS needs to solve. I have to jump through a few hoops to get a payment app to run, and my Samsung smartwatch doesn't connect. I was aware that I would run into problems with /e/os, and I like to tinker, so I this doesn't make me regret my choice to buy the phone. I The phone itself is great and beautiful. Great work. Unfortunately, the switch to disabble camera and mic access is not a physical killswitch.

I loved the phone itself (especially the camera and the loooooong life of the battery) and I was super happy do de-meta-ize my life. Unfortunately along the way I realized Murena still has too many incompatibilities with basic software/hardware at life and work, which I could not sort out yet. I guess in the future this will "improve" as more and more people use different OS. Besides that, I loved the phone itself.

Can not run NemId which is at must in Denmark - telephone useless.

I bought this phone for two reasons: first, I wanted to prevent everybody from spying on me, and second, I was unhappy with the battery life of my new Android phone that couldn't run for more than 24 hours regardless of whether I used it or not. The Fairphone usually runs for almost three days on one charge. An unexpected bonus is that the Fairphone also tells me -- and allows me to block -- trackers sent by apps I have installed myself (hello Norwegian Weather Institute, why do you think it is okay to leak my data to Google?).

Works fine, not all apps work seamless but over all does what is says on the lable..

Glad to get rid of the google ecosystem, but system is a bit buggy here and there. Murena launcher is limited and MicroG services stops working regularly.

Mostly very good. Few bugs here and there (connection and software).

Excellent non big tech phone. It looks and feels like an iPhone without the built in tracking of such a company. I have been able to use open source apps for everything from maps, podcasts, email, browsers etc. The phone has allowed me to have more freedom over my data and as a result gives me privacy.

great EU alternative to American tech. Only downside is the camera and overall quality not matching flagships from other brands, but the price difference is big enough I can go buy a good camera with what I "saved" compared to e.g. a Galaxy. But wouldn't it also be sustainable to use very high quality cameras, sensors, speakers etc?

Great after one month of usage. I'm still getting accustomed to the phone and the great abilities the murena os offers for data privacy, but until now i'm very satisfied. The phone is fast and feels high-grade. Take some time to use the phone in your way and you will be satisfied.

E/os took little time to get used to, phone is great quality, accessories the same.

Couldn't be happier with the product, I've not been this excited about a phone since the original iPhone. The phone itself is built extremely well, e/os keeps getting better and better, more features are added all the time, most apps work perfectly. The camera is amazing with the stock app. Very happy fairphone customer, loved the phone so much I purchased extra accessories for the back, and replaced both my headsphones with Fairbuds and Fairbuds XL.

I’ve been using the FP6 for a few weeks now, and I’m extremely pleased with it. I’ve been on Apple for a few years, but found the switch back to be extremely easy, and there is nothing I am missing from the Apple experience. I got the de-Googled version, and I am loving the Murena workspace, and the privacy evaluation of every app I consider downloading. As you’d expect from FairPhone, it’s very positive, and is restoring my faith in the Tech World.

fairphone 6 with e/os - works like a charm. orange esim had no issues installing; 5g, hotspot, fingerprint, microphone, work fine. feels good, sturdy, in the hand. simple, calm phone that does exactly what it is supposed to do. ended up talking about fairphone with all my friends.

After 3+ weeks my F6 is living up to expectations. All apps that I have downloaded via the App Lounge are working, including those for banking, hearing aid and car. Well done! It would be nice to be able to arrange the app icons freely, though.

I’m very happy with the Gen 6 Fairphone that I recently purchased, and with the option to buy it with e/OS/ installed.

Pros: - Degoogled experience, a bit rough but good for daily use. - Minimalist product design. - e/OS is not perfect, but it works. - Repairable and longevity. Cons: - Overpriced. - UX/UI lacks some polish.

Took shocking little time and effort to de-google myself, and the Fairphone + Murena really make it near trivial.

I’ve put 5 stars, because it really exceeded my expectations. Usage is very pleasant and it has all necessary functions that I need. For sure there is a lot of space for improvements, both in terms of functionality, support of different apps, design, etc, but in reality for now this is the best phone I’ve had (and I’ve had different iPhones so far - they are also good, but Fairphone somehow feels fresh and exciting)

I think it is very important this configuration and e/OS version by Murena, for security and preserve privacy, but it has been for me a little difficult to start using my new phone in sustitution of my old FP3. I recomend to be sure before taking this step. Otherwise you'd better buy the tipical Android configuration for FP6

Mid phone, bad placement of volume buttons and fingerprint scanner.

Pretty good phone, I get 2.5 days of battery life but (full disclosure) I ain't on my phone 24/7 only really use it as a music player mostly

Prompt and simple Set-up. Some confusion re: the App Lounge and Whether e-wallets are usable . Still spending ages removing my data from companies and transferring. All good.

Build quality is excellent, the device has a perfect proportion of size and weight, and the touch screen is very responsive at 120hz and very bright. Also the quality of the side switch and the buttons is on point. The only bad part is the microphone, with very subpar performance and easily distorted audio.

All apps work in perfect anonymity, so it's a very pleasant experience....The phone works very well, the only flaw is that for me the display is very large and takes up a lot of space in the pockets.....It would be helpful if they added a smaller Fairphone, (like the apple 13 mini) to the line

As part of my degoogle journey, I was looking for something that would take me away from the google ecosystem and towards free and open source software. There are a couple of options for this but I chose Fairphone because of the ethical approach taken in manufacturing, sustainability and repairability. For the money spent I think you are getting a great quality piece of equipment that has good performance for my daily driver. I also switched to the o/es operating system which is much easier to handle once you install a launcher that made it feel like other phones I am used to using. Using this phone will take some research into where to get apps and the best ones to use but I think that is part of the fun in the degoogle journey.

My old Fairphone 4 works far better for me. I'm not using it, keep my old phone for now. I' thought the trasfer would be easier, but even with cable I can't. Maybe I made a mistake ordering the Murena model

I am facing many thoubles regarding the microfone. Sometimes in Italy, my connectivity provider is fastweb, I have lack of connectivity especially in 5G areas I did not expected a so poor quality. I love your design and privacy approach but the experience is frustrating

Works very well. I love the browser. I don't have to reject cookies and trackers anymore. It does it by itself.

En la era de los algoritmos, la monitorización y el comercio de datos se agradece una salida del monopolio y de la cultura de usar y tirar. Es perfectamente funcional, casi todas las aplicaciones que usaba funcionan correctamente (no usaba google). Sólo he tenido un problema con la app de un banco pero creo que podré solucionarlo o encontrar alternativas. Espero que sigan creciendo y que vayan llegando a más tipos de dispositivos.

So far, so good (it's been 3 weeks at the time of writing). Hope it lasts three weeks more, or more. I'll update if I remember to do it. Seriously though, I like the phone because of the values that it upholds and I'm very thrilled to throw away Google, specially at a time like this.

If you fix things in your daily life from cars, machines, washers, PC and are familiar with managing software this phone is a breeze to work with. Whenever something doesn't work out of the box you can easily find another way and device won't prevent your from implementing your fix.

Works like a charm. Still need to sign into the "app lounge" with google for installing some apps (e.g. ones paid for before in the playstore), but can then sign out again.

Nice handset, loving the repairability although it’s a bit early to need / comment on this. Only issue I’ve found with the headset is if your reading a QR code from a screen in “dark mode” the camera can’t expose the QR code reliably and if you hold the camera close the exposure is good but the image loses focus at the edges. This is very minor compared to my iPhones issue and a minor software tweak, possibly down to /e/OS. My white handset stands out and I’ve had a few comments about it which is good so I can spread the repairability word. Shocked by the battery life coming from an iPhone, have to charge it every other day not twice a day, can this be real? Probably all the data not going back to Apple / Google. I have to say how polished I’ve found /e/OS with its use of MicroG, was expecting to have to resort to Google Android but so far no real issues except one failed app install which I think was my network playing up. I’m actually finding /e/OS more polished than iOS18 let alone iOS26, the hardware is also more robust in that the sides are plastic not thin Aluminium & glass. This results in being much more grippy so less chance of a drop in the first place and more likelihood of a bounce.

II bought it for the degoogled Android and was pleasantly surprised by the advanced privacy features. Recommended.

Software is not easy to deal with, lots of bugs, for example, can’t login to X, can’t login to Just Eat, some apps notifications don’t appear, notifications systems entirely needs a revamp as i get repeated ones all day long, no immediate push notifications like iPhone, i sometimes receive a notification saying camera and microphone are enabled even when the yellow physical switch is disabled, can’t add widgets to any home screen, only at the very left, also I can’t rearrange widgets in that page.

Phone was okay for one week then died never to be revived again. Make sure you back up your data regularly before using. Initial set up on e/os wasn't as simple as android to android. Had to move everything across via a microSD card. As a former FP4 user and fan, it'll be a good long while before I consider trying a fairphone again.

Llevaba unos 10 años usando iPhone, pero buscaba un móvil más sostenible, que me permitiera restringir mejor los rastreadores y cuidar la privacidad, con una cámara decente, buena batería y que pudiera usar durante muchos años. He de decir que, aunque los primeros días me costó un poco adaptarme, ahora estoy encantada y no lo cambiaría por nada. La interfaz es muy bonita y recuerda estéticamente a la de iPhone. La privacidad avanzada tienen muchas funciones y es muy fácil de usar, además poder ver de forma clara los rastreadores y los permisos de las aplicaciones antes de instalarlas me parece un auténtico puntazo. La batería es espectacular, cargo el móvil solo dos veces a la semana, cuando con el iPhone tenía que hacerlo a diario. La cámara no es la mejor del mercado, pero cumple con creces mis expectativas. Como punto a mejorar, destacaría el funcionamiento de la app de correo integrada. Al tener 5 o 6 cuentas, a veces tarda en notificar los correos nuevos y el buzón compartido no siempre carga con rapidez. Supongo que esto se irá puliendo en próximas actualizaciones.

While the price feels high for its specs, the peace of mind from its excellent repairability is the real selling point. A solid investment for anyone who values longevity and sustainability. /e/OS isn't the best looking thing ever, but it gets the job done (banking apps worked out of the box).

AppLounge doesn't work! I can't install or update my app. Even with their forum.

This is my first experience with operating system Murena /e/OS. First I had some troubles to find myself in a new system, but because I can customise lots of settings and system doesn't have (in my opinion) bloatware I am very satisfied of my choice. Also this is also my first experience with the Fairphone. I really enjoy Camera & mic disabling button. I have not used possibility to change hardware parts for my own yet, but for me it is a huge advantage.

The smartphone meets security expectations, but fails by not allowing call recording, which is legal in countries such as Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, etc. It would be highly recommended to enable this feature directly in the product, as it is very detrimental not to allow such a simple action that is also legal in many countries.

I was ready for /e/os to be a headache and possibly even need to return the phone if critical stuff like banking apps didn't work. Absolutely not the case! All my banking/money/high-security apps (including Norwegian BankID) work fine, as does basically everything else. The list of stuff that doesn't work for me is pretty short, trivial, and mostly confined to certain proprietary Google stuff: -Chromecast doesn't work -Gmail won't sent instant push notifications through the app, or through 3rd-party mail apps. They come through 1-3 hours later. Other mail providers work fine, and Gmail works fine on a browser. -I had to manually set up the connection to mobile data. That was a one-time thing, now it works all the time even on roaming. -The default browser wasn't compatible with BankID, but Ecosia works perfectly. -Occasionally an app has failed to download from the App Lounge. Using F-Droid or downloading directly from the app's website had solved this. I now only have 1 app that won't install out of 50 or so. As a bonus, the App Lounge's emphasis on open-source apps means it's WAY easier to find ad-free apps than it is on Google Play. As for the phone itself, it's a big step up from my old Fairphone 3. The camera is roughly on par (to my very untrained eye) with my wife's iPhone 13. The ultra-wide lens is cool, although the resolution could be better and it gets noisy quickly in bad lighting. Main and selfie cameras are great. Otherwise everything works as it should, no complaints! A far less buggy experience thus far than my first month with the FP3.

Good phone, fits nicely in my hand (size 6). /e/OS works out of the box without Google account, I was able to run all the apps and options I cared about (including banks, NFC payments). Battery life is good.

I’m very positively surprised by this phone and by murena OS! For context, I am keeping my old phone for banking and travel services and I cannot vouch for whether these apps would work on murena OS or not since I haven’t tried to install them. Everything I want or need to do on a daily basis works and the phone itself is snappy. My only complaint about the phone is that the microphone sound quality isn’t the best, a tad weak and tinny. I am getting 2-3 days of battery life which is double what I got on my old phone.

Refreshing email is not agile and some apps are not working. Good thing if You keep distance from connecting contamination.

Love this ethical and sustainably sourced phone. It definitely took some time getting used to the interface as I was a Samsung user previously but I'd take this phone over the zionist Googled phones any day!!

I’ve been using my Fairphone 6 with /e/OS for over a month now, and I’m really happy with it! Fairphone 6: This is my first Fairphone, so I was initially a bit concerned that I wouldn’t like it. However, I’ve ended up loving it! Everything works smoothly, it feels comfortable in the hand, and the modular build is a great feature. The camera isn’t the best, but that’s not a deal-breaker for me. I haven’t encountered any technical issues. The only downside is its size – it’s huge! I do wish the Dutch engineers would acknowledge that not everyone is as tall as the Dutch and that some of us have smaller hands. A smaller version of their next model would be ideal, so those of us with smaller hands don’t feel like we’re using a tablet! That said, I knew exactly what I was getting into when I opted for a larger phone, so it’s not a huge complaint. /e/OS: On one hand, I love the concept of /e/OS, especially its focus on privacy, no tracking, and so on. However, it can be a bit challenging with some apps that misbehave due to the privacy features being disabled. Fortunately, my banking app (Santander, Poland) works flawlessly, but I’ve had to say goodbye to Revolut (it works occasionally, but it’s not reliable, especially for someone who travels frequently). If, like me, you enjoy tweaking your OS, trying out app alternatives, and browsing obscure tech forums, then you’ll have a lot of fun with this phone, just as I have. Everything works if you give it enough love and care. ;) Oh, and a very important “side effect” of using /e/OS is that SOME ADS ARE NOT WORKING! I repeat, SOME ADS ARE NOT WORKING! 😄

I am happy with the Fairphone products that I bought. It is a bit different from the Phones I was used to but I like the idea of privacy that it gives me I still don´t know how to create the cloud storage and it would be great if you could send me a video explaining how to do it Thank you Kind Regards Orlando Cohen

This was my first Fairphone purchase. It is a really nice-looking phone but the e/OS model didn't suit me. I had done a lot of prior research but, as a novice e/OS user, I did not find the phone easy and I have returned it for a refund. The communication from Fairphone about the return procedure was good, initially. I was impressed. Unfortunately UPS shipping have misdirected my parcel and, according to my tracking information, the phone has been travelling around Spain for the last two days and is still in Spain??? It's now been 8 DAYS since I dropped off the phone at my UPS Access Point in the UK for it to be returned. I would really like to have the money refunded from this first purchase BEFORE buying the alternative Fairphone 6 OS version. I have emailed Fairphone Support about it but I haven't had a response. It would be really nice if someone from Fairphone would contact me.

The camera is brilliant I especially like the ability to change lenses. So glad I opted for the e/OS version its amazing how much better murena is, and so easy to use. Great quality phone and value for money. This is my third Fairphone and by far the best certainly wont be looking at any other make of phone now. I'm telling all my friends to change to Fairphone, England needs more of these phones.

Great!! But three minor flaws: very low vibration, no use for the lime coloured button with e/OS (neither customizable), and no battery charge control (with e/OS).

The e/os is amazing in terms of privacy but there are some apps, specially those depending on Google APIs that don't work well.

Runs everything I need no problems, although, like so many consumer electronics products these days, some launch bugs should have been caught (e.g. no zoom on the camera). The OS update this week is supposed to fix that and some others. Really appreciate the native ad and tracker blocking. Pleasantly surprised how easy it makes limiting reliance on big tech. If you're tempted - go for it.

I really like the idea of this product. Apart from its sustainability one of the reasons I chose it was its excellent camera specs but it came to me with the camera unable to zoom and overexposing areas of the image. I've been in contact with support but have only received generic replies so far. I also can't access the my sd card and sim services are patchy. I do hope we can resolve these issues as I love the colour, look, feel and idea of the phone.

I've used my Fairphone 6 for a few weeks now, and I'm super happy. Coming from a Fairphone 4, it's a massive update on all fronts. Better screen, better battery, better cameras, and better size and weight. The only two remarks I can give are that the white of the body is not particularly beautiful, and I would have preferred it to be a bit warmer. And the second is that the position of the volume buttons is a bit awkward. More than often, I accidentally take a screenshot when trying to close the phone. If they were positioned 10 mm more to the top, I wouldn't have that problem. But I'll get used to it eventually.

Solid build, nice looking and a very decent battery. With /e/OS there are some apps that doesn't work (i.e Revolut & Canon Camera Connect ), but the privacy it brings its worth it.

I bought the Fairphone 6 hoping to support a company aligned with sustainability and ethical tech. Unfortunately, the product wasn’t compatible with essential apps — including my banking app — and the return process has been unnecessarily slow and frustrating. Despite contacting support promptly, I was asked to resubmit information they already had from my order. It’s now been over a week since I provided the required return details, and I still don’t have a return label. The dissonance between Fairphone’s values and the actual customer experience is stark. It’s disappointing to see a company that claims to value transparency, environmental responsibility, and customer empowerment fall short on all three. I truly wanted this to work — but regret giving it a shot

/e/OS feels like a budget android os and it's not compatible with cromecast.

Great phone for my needs. Slightly disappointed with the camera, but there will be an update for the e/os version eventually as far as I understand.

I bought Fairphone out of curiosity, I found myself in a world unknown to me coming from iOS. I still haven't found full stability, some apps I can't find in the store, but slowly I am getting to grips with the project. I'm loving it, keep it up guys!

No problems with it at all, works great, and the privacy features are reassuring. The battery life is excellent, easily lasts two days or more for me. The only slight glitch is the camera doesn't zoom with the built-in app, but maybe I need to find a different camera app.

Solid phone, very happy - bit thicker phone than I thought but no problem - if anything it’s easier to find in my bag and to hold!

Was looking forward trying this phone with de-googled (Murena OS), long time support and replacable parts. Phone arrived with double seals on the package which were broken. Meaning the phone had been unpacked at least twice! So no clue if phone has been tampered with or damaged, but this is not what I ordered. I tried contacting support how to resolve this but nobody bothers to answer even after a week time. Also tried to contact the company via LinkedIn but nobody responding. I will start now trying to trigger the return process, but nobody might respond as well where to sent it to and give me refund. It is very disappointing and unprofessional for Fairphone not to respond at all, they have Zendesk, but looks like nobody reading it and the chatbot can only asay to create a ticket, there is no one available.

Solid build quality, looks great, battery life with e/os Murena is super, apps just work despite e/os. Would have given a 5 if 1-2 mm less thick.

I was expecting a true dual sim and a possibility to insert a SD card as the older models. It only has 1 slot so either you switch to eSIM or you will be disappointed because the old Fairphone had 3 slots. I truly miss an audiojack. So it is going backwards. Not sure I will keep it as long as I kept my old one.

The Fairphone 6 with /e/OS is everything you need in a smartphone: it's fast, reliable, private, beautiful, useful, durable, and sustainable. I couldn't be happier with it. Let's hope they add Fairphone Moments to /e/OS soon!

The phone is incredible. Very high quality and good enough CPU. Also /e/OS is super - every apps (including banking) are working perfectly.

/e/OS does not worth the extra 50€ it cost nor anything, should be a choice (to not be taken), and FairPhone should not be shipped with it. It's a pity to ship a phone with such software. The hardware and repairability are great, and the Stock Android experience seems good as well, but in my experience /e/OS is a worsened Android LineageOS Rom. I will point out the good: - The camera. You can custom every aspect of the shoot, ISO, exposition, focus, dgn file compatible... Very impressive to have only 2 sensors. - Privacy monitor: With anti-trackers, GPS Fake geolocation, and IP Hide through TOR network. You can select which apps use which function toggling them on-off. Now the bad /e/OS points, some a deal breaker to me: - Privacy monitor has no system-wide add-block installed. - Default launcher created to be replaced, ultra limited (no icon move-around, no app drawer, no widgets...). - Default Mail app not opening after being configured, based on FOSS K9-Mail which DOES work. It seems in fact like it has an old version of K9, (as I see in the interface) so: - It could be guessed that all FOSS-based apps it has (DAVx5, Open Tasks, music app..) are outdated versions of their counter F-droid available versions. - AppLounge wont let you add or see which repositories are configured, and there is no way to differentiate where are you downloading an app from. I downloaded VLC... from F-droid or Play Store? - And some Play Store apps wont open at all, in a brand new non rooted device with blocked bootloader, and privacy monitor disabled for those apps. - Account manager is DAVx5 based. It has an error where org.Tasks can't be configured as default Task sync app, as it always defaults to Open Tasks (installed by default, not uninstallable). - You know the cool yellow physical switch that FairPhone 6 introduces? On /e/OS it only disables/enables microphone and camera access. No more configuration. And it does not override settings configuration. If the switch is on "disable" position, you can still enable whatever through settings. - This is one among a lot of difference between "stock" Android with Google and /e/OS. - Stock software updates are not paired with /e/OS updates, so I would expect /e/OS to not be able to keep up with new functions developed by the stock FairPhone counterpart. So /e/OS to me is more like a broken "LineageOS". You can have stock Android OS, install F-Droid/Neo Store and Aura Store and have the FOSS part of it. And root it, remove/disable Google apps, install some Magisk Modules, and have almost all the privacy part.

I purchased the green phone and love the colour. I use Curve pay which is OK but temperamental and can take up to 30 seconds before payment goes through which is a pain. The phone is quick and smooth. Both cameras are good. I would have liked the fingerprint sensor to be slightly raised or possibly in a different location because sometimes I want to see the notifications on the lock screen but as soon as your thumb goes over the sensor it unlocks. I really don't like the colour of the moments button! Why Yellow? Looks cheap and nasty. Can't seem to use Chat GPT or the National Lottery app here in the UK but all others I have downloaded work fine including NHS app and banking apps. I'm transitioning to murena email but you can use syncing apps for ios or Yahoo email if you wish. 4/5 because of the yellow button!

I really like the quality of the phone. The user interface of the e/OS is also great. But I think Fairphone/Murena have misinformed me about Fairphone Moments. It is a hyped feature - but it does not work as promised on e/OS. I'm very disappointed about that. Murena's version of Moments is totally downgraded and cannot be changed. In Denmark we use MobilePay a lot - it turns out that this app does not work with e/OS - so for that reason I cannot use this Murena e/OS phone and cannot recommend it to anyone in Denmark. This issue could probably be solved if the Fairphone browser could be uninstalled/deleted from the phone - or Fairphone, please talk to Vipps MobilePay to solve this so that this app also works with Murena e/OS - that is a must.

Ihave not used the phone. As a telepbone it worked immediately. But migrating apps was too complicatded for a simple guy like me. So i returned it.

The whole premise is that the phone has been fairly produced and is open, this definitely appears to be the case. I am perfectly happy to pay a bit more for less exploitation in the world. The issues I have is mostly to do with the button placement. they are right in the middle of the phone, which is the most balanced place to pick up a phone. So I keep on pressing buttons when I pick up or put down the phone. The software is interesting, FP not only released the source for bootstrapping the SoC on the day of release but submitted it for upstreaming in the Linux kernel. It has gome through a few rounds of reviews already, which is great progress. Their software does feel incomplete and rushed, and is getting multiple fixes rolled out with each release (of which I already received 2 updates in the last week). It's a good sign that it will all get sorted out "soon". There are a few compromises (such as the no display out on the USBC) and the audio is noticeably worse than some other phones in a similar class. So far the battery life has been phenomenally fantastic. I have been getting well over their promise of 2-day battery life, and that is with me poking the phone more than regular.

Loving the new phone. The battery is amazing, one charging lasts me over 3 days. I'm really enjoying the e/OS by Murena. Phone itself is sturdy and nice to use.

Unfortunately the e/OS version did not work smoothly with apps in Denmark as you cannot install MitID or MobilePay and thus also not possible to install webbank or do shopping online or use public transport as this also require MitId validation.

So far the experience has been very positive. The after-sales service responds kindly and efficiently to requests. With regard to the mobile phone, it really is a great product, representative of what you're looking for when you buy it - an ethical, sustainable purchase that fulfils its function. With regard to the e/os operating system, it takes some time getting used to, but the change is worth it - for the high level of data protection, for being developed in Europe, for being constantly updated and for proving that it is possible to have alternatives to google's android and apple's iOS. Give an opportunity.

The phone is pretty and sturdy and reparable. The software and the information about features need some work. The camera app does not allow me to zoom in. The website (and even in the booklet in the package) there are plentiful references to Fairphone Moments (by a flick of the physical switch), one of the reasons I decided to buy the phone. Unfortunately, the eos software does not support this functionality. This was only mentioned somewhere in the FAQ. That could have been made clearer when the lime green switch implies/suggests otherwise.

Great hardware, and the user experience is pretty good once you learn a few basics such as alternative app stores and use of a custom launcher if you don't want it to look like ios.
