Your data is safe
You can delete your personal data yourself. Check the website of the manufacturer of your phone for the instructions, such as the Fairphone support pages. If you are not able to delete your data, our DEKRA-certified partner removes all personal data from your phone as soon as they receive it.

Frequently asked questions
How much will I get for handing in an old phone for reuse or recycling?
This depends upon your phone’s make, model and condition. After you enter all the details of the age and condition of your old phone(s), you will be given a quotation to thank you for being eco-responsible.
How many phones can be sent in? What other items can be sent in?
You can send up to 2 old phones in one shipment - which will be dealt with as one return. Any other items such as accessories, charger plugs or cables, additional small modules, extra lithium batteries and other electronic devices (laptops, tablets etc) cannot be sent in via this program, as our center can only recycle phones.
How long will it be until I get my Fairphone Gift Card?
Typically you should receive your Fairphone Gift Card or your cashback within 2 weeks of shipping your old phone(s), however this depends on shipping time.
Please allow up to 28 days before contacting our Customer Support as there could be varying shipping times and potential processing delays due to the pandemic.
Do you take back Fairphone modules or spare parts?
At this moment we don't take back old Fairphone modules or spare parts. Please dispose of used spare parts and batteries responsibly at a suitable electronic waste collection facility, as they contain materials which are hazardous to your health and the environment. If you do not know where to find it, please consult your municipality website. If you live in France or germany, we do take back Fairphone 3 and 3+ modules. You can participate in the program by setting your country to France or Germany, adding a Fairphone 3 or 3+ spare part in your cart and adding the return label in the cart.
