Technically you’re looking at the connecting piece between the headband and speakers. Without it, you can't really wear your Fairbuds XL, so it's handy to replace it when the time comes.

Repair what you need, keep what you love and avoid the CO2 emissions of buying new stuff while you're at it. It's only fair.
